This month we are delighted to shine the spotlight on Saltwrights, Norfolk’s newest artisan sea salt producer.

Founded in 2024 by Ben and Frances Jackson, Saltwrights was born from a simple question: why did Norfolk, with its beautiful coastline and rich history, no longer produce sea salt? Determined to revive this traditional craft, they began experimenting with different production methods and developed a process to create pure , mineral rich sea salt using only the natural power of the sun and wind.

Produced a Salle Moor Hall Farm in the heart of Norfolk, sea water is collected from the north Norfolk coast before being slowly concentrated over several weeks. No chemicals, no artificial additives and no shortcuts- every batch is harvested and finished entirely by hand.
